CLOVIS - About 1:15 Wednesday afternoon, a Clovis Police officer spotted an older model RV with registration tags that had expired in 2008 going west on Jefferson west of Sunnyside. When the officer pulled the driver over, he saw boxes of stolen items, some stamped with a company name, inside the RV in plain view. Officers arrested 25-year-old Christopher Ramage of Fresno for possession of stolen property and driving on a suspended license.
A business with a mobile office at the Clovis Community Hospital construction site was burglarized just this morning. A thief or thieves made off with expensive power tools and other equipment. Work lights in “Howe Electric” stamped boxes were also recovered. In addition, officers found a large coil of copper wire that had been stripped. Total value of the merchandise and copper wire is estimated to be between $3,000 and $5,000 dollars. Clovis Police contacted representatives from Giroux Glass and Howe Electric who both came to the scene. They both identified and reclaimed their stolen property.
