Thomas F. Hayes Jr. (64), a native of Philadelphia, PA and a resident of Madera, CA for 42 years passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at his Madera home. Tom was a veteran in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and a life member of the Madera V.F.W. Post 1981. He was a lead person working at CertainTeed for 30 years and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family.
Tom is survived by his wife of 25 years Anne Hayes of Madera, CA, 4 sons: Thomas F. Hayes III of Madera, CA; Leo Cahill of Massachusetts, Patrick Cahill of Monterey, CA and H. Jean Bourassa of Alabama. 5 daughters: Mary Jane Dyer of Nevada; Gwynne Englemann of Clovis, CA; Tanya Pia of Madera, CA; Kathleen Sturek of Nevada and Nora Beaubien of Los Angeles, CA, and his sister Elaine Herbert of Pennsylvania. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.

Sirio Del Bianco, well known Valley Restaurateur, passed away peacefully at his home in Madera, California on Thursday, August 19, 2010. Sirio was born in Lucca, Italy and immigrated to the United States when he was two years old along with his parents Georgio and Lela Del Bianco.
Sirio owned and operated the former Lucca's Restaurant, a Madera landmark, along with his brother Elmo for 40 years until his retirement in 1985. The restaurant was originally started by his parents in 1935 when he was 14 years old. He graduated from Madera High School in 1939 and later attended 4C's Business College in Fresno.

Mildred Stuckey, age 92 passed away quietly at home with her family at her side on Friday, August 13, 2010. Mildred was born on July 13, 1918 to John and Clara Sellers. She graduated from Chattanooga High School in Oklahoma in 1935. She married Cecil Stuckey in 1936, in Lawton, OK, and they went on to have two sons.
They eventually moved to California where they lived for 40 years before moving back to Chattanooga, OK in 1976. In 1993, Mildred moved to Madera, CA to be closer to her sons, where she remained until her passing. In 1936, after the passing of her mother, her father eventually married Florence and was a wonderful step-mother to Mildred.

Carole Susan Frede Sordi was born to Robert and Faye Butcher Frede on June 10, 1946 in Nebraska City, NE, and went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010 while spending time by the ocean in Santa Cruz, CA. Carole was a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church, she attended grade school at St. Joachim Catholic School then went to Eastin-Arcola Elementary school; she was a graduate of Madera High School class of 1964.
\After graduation Carole went to Beauty College and was a beautician until her marriage. Carole and her sweetheart Doug were married on April 22, 1967, she was active in the family farm as well as working at various place such as being a weigh master at Heublein Winery for 10 years, and at TECO's as an accountant.
