Martin and I met when he was a truck driver in Visalia.  He had accepted Christ as his Savior at 17, but lacked direction.  As a health educator, I helped people, but was empty on the inside.

At six months pregnant, I got very ill. The doctor sent me to the E.R. for tests and x-rays, thinking I might have meningitis. The films showed a mass in my lung. It was not meningitis, but could be cancerous.

As a young girl with a divorce torn family, I felt very lonely as I changed schools four times in elementary grades and twice during junior high.  In the seventh grade, I made friends with the wrong crowd and sunk deep into sin, including fighting with other girls.
