OAKHURST – A new museum showcasing the cuddly side of history opens in Oakhurst this Friday.
The Teddy Bear Museum of the Sierra showcases a collection of antique bears as well as the history of the Teddy Bear starting in 1902.

M ERCED - "Jesus Christ Superstar," the rock opera that tells the story of the last days of Jesus Christ, begins a three-weekend run on the Playhouse Merced mainstage Friday, March 8 at 7:30 pm.
"Jesus Christ Superstar" is based loosely on the New Testament account of the last week of the life of Jesus Christ. The story is told mainly from the perspective of Judas, the disciple who eventually betrays Jesus and turns him in to the Roman authorities.

MADERA - The Springhill Suites by Marriott in Madera just completed extensive upgrades to their Internet system, much to the delight of repeat customers.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA – For the first time, viewers in the U.S. will be able to stream last night’s Oscars show in its entirety across multiple platforms including ABC.com, the ABC Player app, and the free, ad-supported Hulu and Hulu Plus subscription service. The show will also be available via ABC On Demand, the network’s fast forward-disabled VOD service.
The Oscars, in its entirety, will be available to stream within hours of its broadcast completion, beginning Monday, Feb. 25th at 6:00 a.m. EST through Wednesday, February 27, at midnight EST.

MADERA - The Madera Arts Council will commemorate 30 years of promoting art and artists in Madera County with a community celebration March 23.The evening will take place at the Hatfield Hall at the Madera District Fair Grounds from 6 to 9 pm.
“Thirty years ago Nancy Clute, local artist and educator, gathered a small group of citizens together to begin planning for an arts council to promote the arts in Madera County,” said Julia O’Kane with the arts council.
