Madera - Madera High Schools one hundred and thirteenth graduating class took their first steps towards their future Wednesday night on Lee DaSilva Field at Memorial Stadium. Principal Kent Albertson introduced the honored guests which included MUSD trustee Dr. Loraine Goodwin who recently won her parties nomination for the 19^th Congressional District seat.

“If you can imagine it, you can achieve it and if you can dream it you can become it” was the theme to student speeches delivered by Julia Palacioz, Karen Almaraz, Denise Cobian, Aqsa Sajid and Kiran Fayyaz. Maria Manzo’s presentation of the class gift was interrupted by a run-a-way balloon captured mid-field by MHS Security Guard Eddie Murphy.

Madera - The 2010 Madera Air Show thrilled spectators of all ages this weekend with many aerobatic performers, rare WWII bombers & fighters, and the World Famous military A-10 West Coast Demonstration Team.  Thousands streamed into the Madera Airport to view the Return of the Gathering of Warbirds.

Madera is rich in military history and is situated perfectly in the San Joaquin Valley to host this tremendous air show and attract spectators from all the State. The Madera Air Show is one of the largest air show events to come to the Central Valley in nearly a decade.
