Story Update: The Coyote Bear is Back at Black Bear!

- Where the hell is Madera North? I don’t know how many times a week I hear a life long resident of Madera refer to this city’s original high school as “North”.

Just this week the secretary for the principal at Madera South, who I think was in the original graduating class at Madera High a hundred and fourteen years ago, referred to MHS as “North”

Chowchilla – The 2011 Spring Festival Parade stepped off Saturday morning on Robertson Boulevard. Bands from around the Valley as well as local groups and businesses rode floats of tissue paper in front of the large crowds that lined the street.

Following the parade the community made their way to the fair grounds for a deep pit barbeque. Over 200 volunteers prepared ten thousand pounds of beef, one thousands pounds of beans and salad for a record number of diners.

Chowchilla – The gates flew opened Wednesday to the Madera County Fair in Chowchilla with the Miss & Little Miss Madera County pageants. This year only two girls from the city of Madera competed for the Miss Madera County Contest, while eight little girls (ages 6 to 9) from all over the country competed for Little Miss.

Chowchilla – The Madera County Fair ended its five day run Sunday with professional wrestling. The squared ring was set up on the pad of the old Clark Building and attracted one of the largest crowds of this fair season.

An Experience in Poop at Madera Community Hospital Print E-mail

Madera -  My youngest daughter’s doctor needed a “stool” sample that we would have to transport to the Madera Community Hospital’s laboratory within an hour entering the world. I don’t really want to get into the details how we had to get the sample in the cup. I am just happy that it was solid but concerned that it was green. Is that to much information?

Well I hit the road with her sample in hand, well the cup in hand, and made my way to the hospital. I called my ex-wife who took my daughter to the doctor to find out exactly where this cup of green poop had to go.
